I thought the same thing when I saw it. My take was that this sign was similar to the ones I've seen in various historic churches/cathedrals which are still active, but use tour guides. It's a reminder to tour groups. [It's just too good of a double meaning to pass up though...]

I'm not sure how to read it. An interesting one would be a grace one: Basically, "Don't worry. We don't need an explanation or an excuse. Come on in."
