Ah, yes... the time that all parents look forward to, that fall ritual when kids return to those beautiful academic institutions.
This fall is quite the change for us as we now have kids at three different schools. Madi and Kayla are at Reilly Elementary, where Madi is now a fourth grader and Kayla has ascended to the top of the elementary food chain as a fifth grader. Megan started her seventh grade year at Newhart Middle School, where she is now the love DeVries at the school. Josh started his first day of high school today at Capo Valley. Hard to believe but true, we are now parents of a high school student. After all those years of high school ministry, Jamie and I both had that moment this morning of "is this for real?"
Yes, yes it is.
