I can only bow in humble submission to the genius that would read a book called, "Rewriting Scripture in Second Temple Times (Studies in the Dead Sea Scrolls and Related Literature)."

I want to hear about the "What about Hitler" book. That looks interesting to me. The Shane Claiborne quotes were really good from that debate.

I miss hanging out.

Wes Ellis

That's a great list! I wish I had enough time to read all those and still get my school work finished... shame. Maybe once I graduate I can read more.

Dear Mike,

You have no clue who I am. I am a young pastor who is shepherding and teaching to a dynamic target of 18-29 / unmarried people at our church. I have been reading your blog for almost a year and half. I have to simply say thanks. I have tried to not get wrapped up with too many blogs to simply keep boundaries around my time management. I visit your site daily, because of the information and learning that I receive from it. I have now read many of the books you have written about and love the articles. Thank you for using the power of technology to help teach and resource others to advance the Kingdom of God.

I bought the hope book too

Derek Rishmawy

Wright's book is excellent, especially if you don't want to slog through all 720 pgs of RSG. On top of a shortened version of his argument for the Resurrection he has interesting discussions on the Ascension, the task of the Church and a lot more.

When we were in the Bahamas for Soularize, Wright told me that the British version of Surprised by Hope [SPCK Publishing] was going to have an extra chapter in it. If anyone can locate that version of the book, let me know. I'd love to see if that indeed ended up being the case.

Tim... good to have you along the journey as well. Thanks for reading and for the kind words.

I share your love for brown papered smiling boxes. Great list of titles.
