Ah, yes. There is nothing quite like the beginning of baseball season. The possibilities are wide open...
After dropping a lackluster opener to the Twins on Monday night, the Angels came out and dropped a nine spot on the Twins last night, winning 9-1. John Garland pitched well, helping people breath a little easier over the Orlando Cabrera trade.
Good to see the Angels back on the field...
In other baseball related news, Josh's Pony baseball team at Dana Point, the A's, are off to a crisp 5-1 record and currently tied for first place. We gave away our first game, wasting a 7-2 lead, losing 8-7. After that our boys have played near flawless baseball. The manager of the team is the same one I coached with last year, so he and I are back in the dugout together for something like our sixth team together. Josh has struggled a bit at the plate of late, but is pitching really, really well. On Wednesday night, he threw two scoreless innings, not allowing a hit and striking out two. He ended the game with a double play on a hard hit ball right back at him.
